FIELD INFORMATION

The field site is Kelly Farms in Marine-on-St. Croix, MN (see map), site of several National Amateur Field Trial Championships. Expect rolling hills with cover ranging from short pasture grass to medium cover. Water ranges from small, clear lakes to ponds with wetlands vegetation in and around the water. June is tick season. You might want to spray your dogs with a tick spray, spray your shoes, socks and pants bottoms and keep your pants tucked into your socks. We will have tick spray available at the Field Check-In Area.

Kelly Farms is a working cattle and sheep ranch. Please be sure to close any gates behind you and drive only on roads unless directed by a marshal to park or drive off-roads.

Please do not air your dogs in areas where sheep are pastured. The sheep are protected by a guard dog and trespassers are not welcome.

MORNING SUSTENANCE

We will have coffee, rolls and orange juice available for purchase at the Field Check-In Area.

FIELD LUNCHES

Lunches will be available by pre-order only and available for pick up at the Field Check In area. Lunches will include a choice of ham and cheese or sliced chicken sandwich, rotini salad, potato chips, a brownie and a beverage. Please use the green Hospitality Reservation Form.

FIELD BANQUET

The Field Banquet will be held on Friday night at the Marriott (headquarters) Hotel. This will give you a chance to get your dogs settled and yourselves cleaned up before the dinner. It will be an informal buffet with hamburgers and bratwurst and an assortment of side dishes. There will be a cash bar. The non-AKC events are being held on Friday, so we will be awarding the Singles Champion trophy and JAM rosettes, Unsteady Singles placements and JAMS and WC/WCX rosettes at the banquet.
